Neurodivergence

As information about what neurodivergence is becomes more and more accessible more and more of us are recognising ourselves in these descriptions. Neurodiverse people, are by definition, wired differently, and therapeutic approaches that work for neurotypical people are not always suitable or helpful for neurodiverse people. It's worth working with a therapist who understands the difference, and who can offer strategies that are informed by science and experience.

Things that might bring you to therapy

My approach

Therapy is a safe space. I work with all genders, identities, and diagnoses without judgement. I can work from both neuro-affirming and person-centred approaches, depending on what works for you. I do not require formal diagnoses, and am happy to work with informal diagnoses and self-identification. I shy away from generalisations and prefer to get really clear on your individual experience with your neurodiversity.

I approach neurodiversity support therapy as a self-identified neurodiverse person, with neurodiverse family members.

Please note: I am unable to offer assessments or diagnoses, nor can I be involved in the management of medications, but I can talk with you about both of these things.
