Couples' Therapy

Every relationship hits a bump in the road at some point; sometimes it helps to have someone else to offer perspective, insights, and to share skills that foster good communication and ways of thinking about relationships that turn to toward one another again.

I use the Gottman approach to couples work. It is based on sound research, provides a clear structure for identifying the dynamics at play, and offers simple and effective strategies to help you toward healthier ways of interacting. 

We will explore both the strengths and challenge areas of your relationship, you'll each have the opportunity to speak with me one on one, and we'll build a plan together to get things back on track. I work both with couples and individuals; if your partner is not on board there are still lots of skills and strategies you can learn that can influence your relationship for the better.

Therapy is a safe space. I work with all genders, identities, and diagnoses without judgement. We can begin working on any type of relationship whenever you are ready. I will check in with you every couple of months if you have not progressed to therapy to make sure you want to stay on the list.
